A Quarter of the way there!

Created 2/12/2010

Can you believe that we are a quarter of the way through this pregnancy! Just when you think you have 9 months to get prepared....life happens and you are down to 6.5! Monday (2/8/2010) was a bad day...I called into work b/c I was dehydrated! Apparently 30 oz of water is not enough for me! So I am going to have to step it up and force some more down! Unfortunately Morris had to leave on Wednesday (2/10/2010) to go to Seattle, WA for a business meeting. He was supposed to return around 11 on Friday but that did not happen. Some how there was a major mix up at the airport and the airline gave Morris and Tom's Tickets away. They were fortunately able to get on a standby flight that got them home Saturday at 10AM. I was glad to get him home but put him to bed immediately. He slept from 11 to 6:30 on Sat, but recovered well. I took Taylor and spent the day out shopping and visiting a Jewelry Trunk Show.

How is Baby Growing?

The baby now enters its fetal period. The average size is approximately 27-35 mm crown to rump length (CRL), or 1.06-1.38 inches, the size of a Prune. S/he weighs in at 4 grams, or 4 paper clips.  External ears are formed, as is the upper lip. Baby's limbs can bend now. His hands are flexed at the wrist and meet over his heart, and his feet may be long enough to meet in front of his body. The outline of his spine is clearly visible through translucent skin, and spinal nerves are beginning to stretch out from his spinal cord. Baby's forehead temporarily bulges with his developing brain and sits very high on his head

See you next week!
