Second Shower!

Sunday, the 25th, my dear friend Ceci threw a shower for me at her house. Ceci also threw a pampered chef party for me when Morris and I got married and a baby tea when I was pregnant with Taylor. She is absolutely precious to me!
We had a wonderful turn out and everything was just beautiful! I had fun seeing so many family and friends!
Bev, Me and Ceci...they did an amazing job!!

Me and Cristen!

Me with my length of tape showing how big around I am.

Blanket from Morris and Patty....Love it! Can't wait to wrap my little guy in it!

The gifts...We got so many amazing things, to include, clothes, blankets, pictures, hamper, baskets, diaper bag, toys, books, diaper pail, diapers, wipes, gift cards, scrap booking materials, feeding essentials, and a TOY CHEST (thank you Ford family)!

Cristen got this picture after everyone left and right before the cleaning started.
I would like to note that this is my Aunt Cindy. She drove from Tampa Florida for the shower and brought me this amazing train picture. She cross-stitched it for us! Isn't she Talented! We are so excited to hang it in the nursery! We are going with a Vintage theme based on Family. What a perfect way to add family to the room! Thank you Aunt Cindy! I loved spending time with you during your visit! Love you!

Morris and I have spent so much time thanking the Lord for our friends and family! Everyone has been so loving and generous, we have moments of just being overwhelmed with Love! Sometimes I look at it all and cry...Tears of joy. Thank you everyone, We love you!

Bedding

At 33 weeks most people have the nursery complete, much less have the bedding bought/complete. Well, I can say that I at least have that much done! Woo Hoo! This is a huge stress off!

This:

Has become This:

I finished the bed skirt tonight and we put it all on the crib. The bumpers are double sided and we decided to alternate them so that all the fabrics could be seen from the inside and out.
I will need to make the blanket but I have plenty of time to get that done. We need to finish the other parts of the room first. The Blanket is going to be large and mainly for when he is older.

I am so glad to have this project done, but I would chose do to it again. :)

33 down 7 to go!!!

I had mentioned posting a picture of the closet and forgot to do it last time. Here is the mostly finished product. We still have to decide about the shelves above the drawers...mainly I need to pick out baskets for there...then we can decide. We have the size dividers in there and hung up some of the stuff. Most of the onsies and sleep n'plays are in the dresser. The blue drawer thing to the left is full of 3-6, 6, 9, and 12 month stuff. We actually have plenty of 0-3 and 3-6 month stuff. The size we have the least of is 9 month stuff. My friend Julie has been passing down Owen's clothes so I am not worried about clothes at all. We started collecting boxes of diapers from SAMs. We have plenty of size 1s but only one box of size 2s. We need to go get some more now that we aren't having to buy them for Taylor! (HIP HIP HURRAY!)
We had a Doc appt this week. He said everything looks great. Morris' heart rate was 141bpm. My blood pressure was a up a good bit from the last 2 times but the doctor didn't seem concerned. Also, Morris and I are working to get things done so I can stop stressing. :)

32 Weeks

So this week started off with a bang! Saturday Morris, Taylor and I headed to Cristen's house with my parents to help her move. Considering we got her completely moved it was by far the easiest move ever. After Taylor took a nap and I put the last bumper together, we went swimming and to dinner. Morris and I then watched a movie and slip stitched all 6 Bumpers closed. Now we are moving on to the crib skirt!
Sunday was interesting. Morris has been icing his bad knee every night b/c of swelling, well I have joined him...except I am icing my ankle! On the way into Arby's at lunch, I was turned talking to Morris and did not see the big hole in the parking lot. I stepped in it and went to my hands and knees as if I had been sniped (Morris made me say that)! My left knee was black and bloody...but my jeans were fine! Yeah! At the time I didn't realize I had hurt my ankle. By the time we got home my ankle had swollen and was hurting pretty bad. Luckily after a few days the swelling went down and it stopped hurting. My knee is taking longer to heal. Tuesday was my work baby shower, which was a lot of fun (see separate post). Friday morning Morris was able to finish putting the closet together! We put as much stuff in the closet as we could and got started on the room. We finally got the dresser moved from Taylor's room to Morris' and filled it up! We got all items that didn't belong, accept for a few pictures, out of the room. Our foyer is a mess now but it will force me to do something with it....Hopefully!

How is Morris doing?
He measures about 18.9 inches long from head to toe and weighs almost 4 pounds. He fills almost all the space available now. A layer of fat is forming underneath the thin, wrinkly skin. Morris is practicing opening his eyes and breathing. Most internal systems are well developed, but the lungs may still be immature. He has the hiccups 2-3 times a day now!

My 32 week Bump:

I am including this picture so you can see the progress on the nursery! Finally we are getting somewhere!

Hopefully week 33 will be just as productive as 32!! Until next week!

Work Baby Shower!!

On Tuesday July 13th my Friends/Coworkers Cristen and Julie threw me a work baby shower! They did a great job and everything looked wonderful. The cupcakes were really good and of course I loved the fresh fruit. Cristen made blue punch and put Rubber duckies in it! Super Cute! Morris and I are completely over whelmed by every one's generosity! We got the stroller, diaper bag, diaper caddy, vaporizer, outdoor swing, hangers, lots of clothes and other great essentials. Here are a few pictures:

31 down and 9 to go!

Only 2 months to go!! I better get to work! I have 5 bumpers done now and the closet shelving is mounted to the wall. I also bought a red basket to go on the bottom shelf under the drawers for toys to go in. It fits perfectly! Hopefully we will get it finished and the closet stocked soon so I can take pictures to show you. This week was nice b/c it was a short week at work...I was off Monday and got to take Taylor to Memaw's house for a visit. Also, We had a Dr. Appt on Friday (7/9). Morris' heartbeat was 153bpm and sounded wonderful! Dr R says all is good!
Taylor is ready for her brother to get here. She wants to show him the lake and take him to meet Bama (the neighbors dog). She will rub my belly and create a cradle with her hands and say "I have my brother" and carry him all over the place. It is absolutely adorable! She is going to be a sweet big sister!

30 Weeks! WOW!

It is weird to say that I am 30 weeks pregnant! This week I made a good bit of progress on the Bedding! I completed 2 of the 6 bumpers and pinned the 3rd for sewing. Pinning actually takes me longer than sewing/stuffing them. We also got the Closet patched and painted with the shelving unit built. Now we just have to mount it in the closet and set up the hanging bars.

How is Morris Growing?
As baby's skin smooths out, his brain just keeps getting more wrinkled. All those grooves and indentations increase surface area, meaning more room for that oh-so-essential brain tissue. He's also adding some brawn -- his grip is now strong enough to grasp a finger.
